the Dominican

August 7, 2012

I had the privilege of going on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic last week.  While much of my trip will be blogged about on my personal blog, here are some images of the DR that I will not forget.

I had the privilege of shooting my first wedding!!  Can I just tell you what an amazing bride she was?  She was super sick on her wedding day, and with grace and ease, her friends and family moved her ceremony to a friend’s house so she could be out of the heat.  This couple has incredible support around them, and it was obvious to feel the love between everyone.

After the ceremony, the bride felt well enough to move the celebration to a nearby park, where the rest of the party was getting started!!

The bride is a softball coach for the local high school!  So I had to get a silly team shot!

dimpled dude!

July 1, 2012

Seriously, how adorable is this dimpled dude who, no doubt, is dreaming?  🙂

The little guy’s older brother knows how to tickle the ivories! So to pay tribute, obviously, we put baby inside the grand! 😉

And on the top too!

little “squirt”

July 1, 2012

At 8 days old, I took my nephew’s newborn portraits today and boy, he did not disappoint!  😉  Look at this cutie!!

When the session started out, he had me worried. The “signs” were clear! 😉

such a little squirt!!  😉

Then we strapped a diaper on him, and I felt better! I think he appreciated it too! 😉

expecting Eli!

June 8, 2012

My second nephew is almost here, so I got to sneak in a few shots of my brother’s growing family yesterday evening!  When I say, “sneak”, it’s because you have to be pretty tricky to capture my almost 3 year old nephew!  Getting on daddy’s shoulders, and playing in water helped a lot!  I’m so excited to meet baby Eli in the next week or two!!  Love you guys!

tutus and choo choos

May 16, 2012

Yesterday evening, I took my daughters’ and two of their friends dance recital costume pictures!  We ventured onto some old railroad tracks and it was so fun to watch them pose, as I told them they were doing a “fashion shoot!”  Their cuteness was undeniable, but the color scheme-well, red and pink weren’t my first choices…

Enjoy these four tutus on a choo choo (track!)  😉

color me happy!

May 7, 2012

Yesterday evening I got to take pictures of this very colorful family!  Dressed in the rainbow colors, they were all smiles, and willing to pose any which way!  So, if you can’t tell, we had some fun!

I made them get in the rainbow color order just because I couldn’t resist!
these sisters can goof around, can you tell?
the youngest sister…look how innocent!  😉

beauty and the boots

April 9, 2012

Last time I posted about the gorgeous fifteen year old girl who was stunning in her portraits.  Today, let me introduce you to the rest of her family.  All of them were decked out in boots and beauty!

family love!
